Individual volunteering opportunities

Calling all employees!  Could you be a Route Steward for the Olympic Torch as it travels through York?  We need 300 employee volunteers to help with crowd and traffic management along the route of the Olympic Torch Relay.

Leaders and Assistants required to support meetings and activities for young girls aged 5-14. There are lots of opportunities to get involved to suit your skills and experience.

Adult volunteers required to mentor young people who are suffering from scoial exclusion or who are experiencing problems in education. A verity of opportunities are available and full training is provided.

Become a volunteer today with Fun Fishers and help to run a number of fun activity schemes and projects with children and young people, including some with special needs.

Volunteers required to undertake a whole range of activities to inspire children and young people in science, technology, engineering and maths.

There are dozens of ways to volunteer for Age UK, from helping at our shops to working in our head offices, training older people to use computers or collecting money.

Volunteers provide catering and other services for homeless people and those at risk from homelessness, within the York hostel.
