York Cares has access to a large pool of employee volunteers with a whole range of interests and skills.

If you need extra pairs of hands, experts to crack a problem or a team to overhaul a room in need of a paint-job, we may be able to find people to help you.

For example, our volunteers:

• Installed IT facilities at a local Elderly Persons' Home and provide training to residents and staff
• Designed and run engineering workshops in Westfield Primary Community School
• Support blind and partially sighted people through The Wilberforce Trust
• Transformed a courtyard at a local respite centre into a sensory garden.
