Transport Yourself
This module considers train safety, planning journeys, timetables, buying tickets and railway careers.
The 'Golden Moment' is a railway trip starting at York Station and calling at both Leeds and Harrogate Stations. At Leeds Station the pupils get to see behind the scenes at how a railway station really works. At Harrogate Station the pupils get to announce the trains over the tannoy.
“Now I understand that it isn't enough to just talk it up, if I want to get somewhere I’ve got to do better at school.” B, aged 10, member of the traveller community.
