Young York Cares

‘ I liked the idea of doing something for the community. It's been hard work but brilliant fun. ’
Johnny Bolton — Bootham School
‘I absolutely loved it and I'd recommend it to everyone I know. ’
Rui Yan Yong — University of York
‘This has been a great opportunity to meet new people. ’
Matthew Marshall — Huntington School
We engage 1000 young people aged 14-25 each year from schools, further and higher education with the support of the business community.
We inspire young people to tackle community projects such as making over a youth centre, organising a youth-led conference, setting up a silver surfers club with the elderly, or coaching football to kids.
Employers help young people turn their ideas into reality by providing practical help, expert advice through Dragon's Den events, training in business planning, marketing and team working, materials, equipment, facilities, ongoing mentoring and more.
