Big Community Challenge 11,12,13 October 2016

The Challenge:

To refresh and re-invigorate Hull Road Park as a hub for the community. In preparation for a new cafe and activities venue this traditional 25-acre park situated in Tang Hall, one of the more disadvantaged areas of York, is having a makeover! York Cares is working in partnership with local charity York Flourish who run the secret garden project in the park for people experiencing dementia, City of York Council , Tang Hall Community Centre and Urban Buzz. The aim is to enhance the park, provide more social and recreational opportunities for and improve health and well being of communities in the area, particularly families and older people.—call-for-volunteers-to-breathe-new-life-into-hull-road-park/
