Festive Wreath Making

Each year during the run up to Christmas we host a session with our Board representatives and Ambassadors where we come together to do something festive whilst also having the opportunity to discuss employee-volunteering.

This year we hosted a wreath making session at Southlands Methodist Church and we were joined by around 15 people from across our member organisations including Aviva, Benenden Health, Nestle, ETAS, Cabinet Office and boxxe.

Whilst the purpose of the session was to create wreaths which will be donated at our Shimmer and Shine festive Social Club on 12 December, it was brilliant to hear so many conversations around employee-volunteering. Lots of people were able to share tips about how to engage their colleagues in various activities and also share the struggles of engaging people in employee-volunteering too! After all a problem shared is a problem halved!

In just two hours, the wreaths were made, tea was drunk, cake was eaten and the room was tidied and swept. What a productive afternoon!

Thank you to everyone who gave time come together to create a festive wreath. We can’t wait to take them along to Shimmer and Shine.
