It’s almost time for this year’s Big Community Challenge!

Can you help? 👀🤝🤞

We were very excited to be able to launch this year’s Big Community Challenge, which will run throughout the month of June, at our Annual Stakeholder Meeting on 31 March. 🙌

As part of the challenge, we are keen to ensure that we can link business priorities with city priorities. The challenge will take place in the West of York and will link up three local primary schools, a secondary school and an Independent Living Community by developing a green corridor route, enabling plants and animals to flourish and improving biodiversity. During the challenge, we will be running activity across several of our programmes to maximise the impact employee-volunteers make in the city. 💪

We’re now able to open the bookings for Team Challenges as part of the Big Community Challenge; getting involved in our Day in the Life of sessions in local primary schools or through donating one of the items from the list below:

Wooden compost bin for stick storage

Picnic bench

Plants and bog plants

Decking timber, wide edge board and pallets

Raised beds

Long straight poles for den building, long straight branches are ideal

Bark chip

Two large (8-10ft) posts for shelter

Top soil

Small storage shed

Log stumps for seating

Stone

This year’s Big Community Challenge is set to be bigger and better than ever but that will only be possible with the support of our members. We very much hope you are able to get involved with the challenge.
